So many good things today.
Lately, I've been dealing with a lot of stress at school. I've been dealing with my classes a lot. I had to drop two classes. I'm still in my Capstone class, but I still have to talk to the head of the theatre department about that-I haven't decided what I want to do yet. I need this credit. I didn't pick up a class that I wanted to take because I don't know if the late registration date has passed yet. And my dad getting on my ass about it every day is not helping me any.
Today, was different. So many good things happened today. YAY!
I got to school. I payed $1.25 for parking because I had to park in a lot. All of the structures were full, so I was left with no choice but to park. Parking at the structure is $2.25, so saving a dollar on parking may not seem like a big deal. But saving a dollar on parking today was a big deal for me today. I wound up parking in a lot by Cass and I-94.
I had a peanut butter granola and a SoBe for my snack. That was $2.25-the same price as parking in a structure, but it was worth it.
Then, I had a free ice cream sundae. With vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, and whipped cream. The Hillel Organization (the student Jewish organization on campus) was giving them out.
I got a free T-shirt by filling out a survey.
I got free Gatorade.
I got a free DRQ bumper sticker, which I put on my playwrighting notebook. And I put my name in a drawing to win a new car!
I also got my first assignment back in my playwrighting class. We were supposed to come up with a list of instructions for someone. We could also use dialogue. My teacher liked it. He wrote on my paper that I did a nice job.
Here is what the assignment looks like:
Jack and Meg make lunch.
Jack goes to the refridgerator.
Gets out lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion, and meat, and mustard.
Meg brings out the bread from the bread box.
Jack: What do you want on your sandwich, Meg?
Meg: Turkey, lettuce, onion, cheese, tomato, and mustard.
Jack: What kind of bread do you want?
Meg: White.
Jack: Good. White is all we have.
Jack fixes the sandwiches.
He slices the cheese, tomato, and onion.
He puts cheese on one side of the four slices of bread.
He puts the mustard, lettuce, tomato, and onion on another of the four slices.
He puts a few slices of turkey on each sandwich.
He puts the sandwiches together.
Meg puts the turkey sandwiches on plates.
She pulls out a knife from the drawer, and slices the sandwiches diagonally.
Jack pulls out chips from the cupboard.
Meg gets out two cans of Coke, and two glasses.
Jack puts chips on the plates with the sandwiches, while Meg fills the glasses with ice.
Jack takes the plates over to the table, while Meg pours Coke into the glasses.
She takes the glasses over to the table.
She puts one glass to where Jack is sitting, then takes her glass to where she is sitting.
Jack and Meg eat their lunch.
In playwrighting, our plays will be nominated for the Heck-Rabi series. And the winner will win $1,000. Cooldn't think of a better way to end a more perfect day.
